Is Professional Leather Restoration Right for Your Bag?

My service is best suited to quality, designer, vintage and sentimental leather bags where professional restoration is worthwhile.

For lower-value bags, the cost of specialist restoration can sometimes be higher than replacing the item. If your bag has sentimental value, I am still happy to assess it. Send me a few clear photos and I can advise what may be possible before you send anything.

Sentimental Leather Bags

Designer & High-Value Leather Bag Restoration

Designer and premium leather bags often justify restoration because replacing them can be considerably more expensive than repairing existing wear.

I work carefully with the existing leather, colour and finish to restore the bag without unnecessarily changing its character. This can include colour loss, fading, scratches, scuffs, worn areas and general deterioration.

Vintage and sentimental bags also require a considered approach. Before carrying out any work, I assess the leather and explain what result I believe can realistically be achieved.

Recent Leather Bag Restoration

This leather briefcase had visible scratches, fading and areas of uneven colour from years of use. I restored the leather surface and refreshed the colour to create a cleaner, more even finish while keeping the original character of the bag.
